Cheshire Removals & Storage provides professional packing for house moves, office relocations and international shipments across Cheshire. We are a BAR member and Which? Full packing service
Our crew packs your entire property, usually the day before your move. Every room, shelf and cupboard, labelled by room so unpacking at the other end is straightforward. You hand over the keys and we handle the rest.
What is included on a full pack:
- All packing materials: double-walled cartons, bubble wrap, packing paper, fragile labels, wardrobe cartons and tape
- Room-by-room labelling: each box marked with its contents and destination room
- Fragile and high-value items: wrapped and packed separately with extra protection
- Appliances and electronics: secured and noted on the inventory
- Artwork and mirrors: corner-protected and crated where needed
Part packing service
If you would rather pack most of your belongings yourself, our team takes on the items you would rather not handle, such as glassware, china, artwork, electronics or anything awkward to wrap. We agree the scope at survey and quote accordingly. This is the most common add-on for customers who are happy packing clothes and books but want professional hands on the breakables.
Export packing for international moves
International transit is harder on packaging than a domestic move. Our export packing teams use double-walled cartons, specialist fragile wraps and timber crating for items that need extra protection. If your move is going by sea or air with our team, ask for export packing to be included in your quote, and the same crew handles the pack and the load.
Adding packing to your move
Packing is most often booked as part of a full or rather than on its own. When you request a quote, tell us you want packing included and we will survey accordingly, assessing volume, the materials needed, and whether the pack is best done the day before or over two days for larger properties. One quote, one crew, one point of contact from survey to delivery, and we can add if your dates do not line up.
What packing adds to your booking:

- Goods-in-transit insurance covering packed items as standard

Fragile-only packing
For customers who need one room or one category packed, such as a kitchen full of china, a home office full of screens or a collection of artwork, we offer a fragile-only service. A two-person team, the same materials standard as a full pack, and the same BAR-trained approach.

Questions About Packing Materials
Most of our materials questions boil down to the same handful. Here’s what Cheshire movers want to know before they order.
Do you deliver packing materials, or do I need to collect them?
Both. You can collect from our Stockport depot Monday to Saturday, or – if your order is above a minimum spend – we’ll deliver locally across Cheshire for a small fee. For customers already booked in for a move with us, materials can be dropped off when we run your pre-move crate drop.
Can I return unused boxes after my move?
Yes. We’ll buy back unused, undamaged flat-pack boxes at a reduced rate – just bring them back to our Stockport depot within 30 days of your move. Tape, wardrobe cartons and consumables (once opened) aren’t returnable.
How do I know how many boxes I'll need?
Our moving kits are sized by property: a 1-2 bed home usually needs the Small or Medium kit; a 3-4 bed home the Large; a 5-bed or bigger the X Large. Not sure where you land? Call us on 0161 476 2873 – we’ll talk it through and recommend the right combination.
Do you offer a professional packing service, or just materials?
Both. Trained packers can wrap, box and label your entire home (usually the day before moving day) as part of your move booking. Most customers mix the two – pack the easy stuff themselves, and let our crew handle fragile, bulky and high-value items.
Do you sell specialist items like TV boxes, mattress covers and export wrap?
Yes. Flat-screen TV boxes, mattress covers for single through to super king, export-grade wrap for international moves, and bubble wrap in various grades. Anything you don’t see listed – just ask. We stock most of it at the depot.
