We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

You may use this website to:
  • Read information about our services.
  • Request a free quote.
  • Contact us with a question.
  • Read our blog and customer reviews.

The binding quote is the one issued in writing after a survey, and the contract for the move is governed by the BAR Conditions of Contract referred to in Section 6. We aim to respond to quote requests within 2 hours during working hours, but we don’t guarantee a response time and we reserve the right to decline any enquiry.

You may not otherwise use, copy, modify, distribute, frame, republish, or create derivative works from any part of the site without our prior written permission. 5. Links to and from this site

This site may contain links to third-party websites (for example, BAR, Which?, Trustpilot, Google Maps, our payment processor, and our social media profiles). We’re not responsible for the content of those sites and the link doesn’t mean we endorse everything on them. You may link to our homepage in a way that is fair and lawful and doesn’t damage our reputation, but you must not frame the site or imply any association we haven’t agreed to.

6. Terms of the moving service itself

The terms that govern the moving, packing, storage or related service you book with us are set out separately:
  • For domestic moves: the BAR Conditions of Contract for Domestic Moves apply. These are issued to you with your written quote and form the contract between you and us when you accept the quote. A copy can also be requested at any time by emailing info@cheshire-removals.co.uk or downloading from the British Association of Removers website at bar.co.uk.
  • For commercial / office moves: the BAR Trade Conditions apply, on the same basis.
  • For storage services: the BAR Conditions for Storage apply, issued with your storage agreement when you book.
These industry-standard conditions cover, among other things: pricing and payment, what’s included and excluded, what we ask of you on the day, insurance and liability limits, claims, delays, postponements and cancellations, and dispute resolution. Our BAR membership and the Code of Practice We are a member of the British Association of Removers (Member No: C111, verifiable at bar.co.uk). As a BAR member, we operate under the BAR Code of Practice, which is approved by the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) under the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. Complaints procedure If you have a concern about the service you’ve received, please contact us first by emailing info@cheshire-removals.co.uk or writing to us at the registered office above. We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 working days and aim to respond in full within 28 days. Alternative Dispute Resolution If we are unable to resolve your complaint within 8 weeks, or you receive a final response from us that you are not satisfied with, you may refer your complaint to BAR’s certified Alternative Dispute Resolution provider:
  • The Furniture & Home Improvement Ombudsman (FHIO)

Advance Payment Guarantee As a BAR member, any advance payment you make towards your move is protected by BAR’s Advance Payment Guarantee scheme. Full details of the scheme are available from us on request or at bar.co.uk.

We do our best to keep the website accurate, up to date and available, but we don’t guarantee it will be free from errors or interruption. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, conditions and other terms that might otherwise apply to the website, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site – including loss of profits, business, goodwill, or data, or any indirect or consequential loss.
